And let's not forget that warped morality is what happens when you try to divorce liberty from Christianity. There is no such thing as absolute liberty and for years Christianity defined the boundaries of liberty and this was mostly agreed upon. Now you remove the Christian foundation and the question becomes, how far can liberty really go? And liberty can now extend beyond the bounds of Christianity and even very Christian ideas like marriage, love and sanctity of life slowly erode and you are now in a position where you go, "Well, this feels icky...and I feel like this is wrong but technically they are free to do what they want".
Point is Christianity built western civilization and the more you depart from it, the more you will see weird things that you technically have no solid basis to make a moral judgment in respect of.
