Don't be an ignoramus my friend. You jumped in the middle of a conversation that has nothing to do with you. Your friend made a claim, I asked him some basic questions on what explains the world as we perceive it better than God and he said he doesn't know yet he somehow knows the origin of the universe is neither God nor supernatural.

Then secondly, can you prove all civilisations knew the golden rule? Have you read anything at all about ancient history? Slavery was the norm in every civilization before Christians changed all that and taught you to see it as something weird you idiot.

Again, look at how stupid you are being. You want SOME of what comes from a religious belief but you mock the religion that gave us those beliefs, if the religion is so bronze aged why in the world do you want it's golden rule in the 21st century? As an atheist/agnostic, why in the world should you care about the golden rule? Why is morality important to you and more crucially, what exactly grounds your morality? What moral standards do you judge actions/inactions by and why?

Third, how and when did Rome invent Christianity? And you hypocrite, the golden rule you just referenced, isn't that you trying to control the way people behave based on a religious principle?
