Even Jesus and Abraham became “radicalized” in Islam

Abraham

Abraham, the man who the Christian and Jewish religion trace their origin to, the one to whom the promise of both the Jewish nation and the Messiah was made in Genesis 12:1–3 is something very different in the Quran.

Allah tells us he is a Muslim.

Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists.”

(Surah 3:67)

We will ignore the fact there was no Jew or Christian for Abraham to be at the time and literally no one argues that Abraham was a Jew or a Christian. What impact does Islam have on Abraham? What example of his should Muslims follow?

O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the Prophet and yourselves [only] because you believe in Allāh, your Lord. If you have come out for jihād [i.e., fighting or striving] in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [take them not as friends]. You confide to them affection [i.e., instruction], but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared. And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way.

There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allāh. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allāh alone” — except for the saying of Abraham to his father, “I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allāh. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination.”

(Surah 60:1,4)

Abraham is a pious Muslim example of hating people — even your own people and even your own father — if they are not Muslim. So when the Quran says to Muslims,

You will not find a people who believe in Allāh and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allāh and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred.”

(Surah 58:22)

Abraham in the Quran becomes the perfect example to model this command for Muslims. Muslims can hate non-Muslim people near them as well as their own non-Muslim family members because Abraham did so and Allah was pleased with him for doing so.

Note what the Quran condemns Abraham for,

— except for the saying of Abraham to his father, “I will surely ask forgiveness for you..”

He is condemned for this again elsewhere,

“It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire.

And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to him [i.e., Abraham] that he [i.e., the father] was an enemy to Allāh, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient.”

(Surah 9:113–114)

A Muslim is supposed to hate a non-Muslim so much that they are not supposed to intercede or pray for them. This is the one flaw of Abraham in the Quran. Allah was very pleased with him when he had hatred for his father but was not so pleased when he asked for forgiveness and the “praying for unbelievers’ forgiveness” part of Abraham’s story is not a good example for Muslims to follow according to Surah 60:4.

A very different framework, it would appear, from the Christian framework that says to pray for all men and for those who persecute and despitefully use you.

Job

Job is not a very major character in the Quran but he is mentioned as one of the prophets.

“Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms].”

(Surah 4:163)

We do have one story about him referenced in the Quran,

And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, “Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment.”

[We said], “And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath.”1 Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allāh].

(Surah 38:41, 44)

Now, the story is not very clear so we will refer to the Tafsirs (commentaries) to flesh it out.

According to Tafsir Ibn Abbas,

“And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand) O Job (a branch) of 100 spikes of grain (and smite therewith) and smite with it your wife, Rahmah the daughter of the Prophet Joseph, (and break not thine oath) this is because he vowed before that if Allah were to cure him, he would flog his wife 100 lashes because she said something which did not please Allah. (Lo! We found him steadfast) in trial, (how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord)) he is ever obedient to Allah and betaking himself to Allah’s obedience.”

Tafsir Al-Jalalayn corroborates this story,

“And [We said to him], ‘Take in your hand a bunch of twigs, or some blades of grass, and smite therewith, your wife — for he had sworn to smite her a hundred times on one occasion when she was late in coming to him — and do not break [your] oath’, by not smiting her: so he took a hundred rushes and smote her with them once [and that sufficed to fulfil his oath].

Ibn Kathir confirms the account as well,

Ayyub [Job], peace be upon him, got angry with his wife and was upset about something she had done, so he swore an oath that if Allah healed him, he would strike her with one hundred blows. When Allah healed him, how could her service, mercy, compassion and kindness be repaid with a beating So Allah showed him a way out, which was to take a bundle of thin grass, with one hundred stems, and hit her with it once. Thus he fulfilled his oath and avoided breaking his vow. This was the solution and way out for one who had Taqwa of Allah and turned to Him in repentance”

Now the three versions vary as to what Job’s wife did to warrant the beating and how exactly she was beaten but the point is the Muslim Job becomes a wife beater. Again, it is interesting how Allah in Surah 66:1 allows Muhammad to break his oath not to bang his slave girl on his wife’s bed but would not allow Job to break his oath and not beat his wife.

Moses

Now there are various interesting stories about Moses in the hadith, in particular one where he beats the crap out of the angel of death UFC style and another where stones steal his clothes and he has to run after the stones but staying on topic here, we will look at one of the lessons Allah willed to teach Moses through his servant, the mysterious character al-Khidr in Surah 18,

And they found a servant from among Our servants [i.e., al-Khiḍr] to whom We had given mercy from Us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge.

Moses said to him, “May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?

(Surah 18:65–66)

One of the lessons was Moses witnessing Al-Khidr killing a young boy,

So they set out, until when they met a boy, he [i.e., al-Khiḍr] killed him. [Moses] said, “Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing.”

[Al-Khiḍr] said, “Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?

(Surah 18:74)

This act shocks Moses to the core. Tafsir Al-Jalalayn tells us how Al-Khidr killed the boy,

And he, al-Khidr, slew him, by slitting his throat with a knife while he lay down, or by tearing his head off with his hand, or by smashing his head against a wall, all of which are [different] opinions”

Little wonder Moses was shocked, but Al-khidr tells us why he killed the boy,

And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief.

So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy.”

(Surah 18:80–81)

So the boy here is killed because his parents were afraid that he will not become a Muslim. Note the message here; A child not being a Muslim when they grow up is such a big problem that killing the young child right now is much better! Remember Al-khidr is somebody who was supposed to teach Moses “Sound judgment from Allah”.

Although we are not told about Moses’ reaction, we can safely infer that he, who was shocked at the whole thing to begin with now seems at home with the decision of Allah and the knowledge brought to him from this mysterious character. Killing an innocent child which was horrifying to Moses initially now becomes, in the words of Dido in Stan, “Not so bad, not so bad”.

Solomon

We have the following hadith narration about Solomon,

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:

“Sulaiman bin Dawud said: ‘Tonight I will go around ninety women, each of whom will bear a horseman who will perform Jihad in the cause of Allah.’ His companion said to him: ‘If Allah wills.’ But he did not say: ‘If Allah wills.’ Then he went around to them all, but none of them got pregnant except a woman who bore half a man. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If he had said, ‘If Allah wills,’ they would all have performed Jihad in the cause of Allah as horsemen.

(Sunan An-Nasai Book 35 Hadith 71)

Solomon here is going into ninety women with the sole aim of raising an army for the purpose of Jihad in the cause of Allah. Now this “Jihad” business does not sound like an “internal struggle” does it? He is talking about horses and horsemen. His sole intention was to raise an army to fight in the cause of Allah.

Today, Muslims in the west usually talk about how they intend to take over cities in Europe through birth-rates. Yasir Qadhi is on record doing precisely this in Stockholm, Sweden. It is interesting to note this thinking goes back to Islam’s earliest sources and is embodied here by Solomon, somebody the God of the Bible explicitly calls “a man of peace”.

Jesus

What exactly is Jesus coming back to do in the hadith?

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax…”

(Sahih Bukhari Book 46 Hadith 37)

Jesus is coming to break the cross because according to the Islamic paradigm, He never was crucified. He will kill pigs, because, why not? Pigs are unclean and should not be eaten according to the Islamic paradigm.

The third thing, abolish the Jizya, is a lot more sinister than it first appears. What is the Jizya?

Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture — [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.”

(Surah 9:29)

The Jizyah is a tax Christians and Jews who do not convert to Islam humiliatingly pay in acknowledgement of their subjection to Muslims. Ibn Kathir captures the essence of it when he says,

Paying Jizyah is a Sign of Kufr and Disgrace”

The standard Islamic approach to Jihad is that those who are being fought must be fought until they convert to Islam. So their two options are (i) Convert to Islam or (ii) die.

However Christians and Jews are lucky as they get the third option, to pay the Jizyah as discussed above,

“…Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, has ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah Alone or give Jizya (i.e. tribute); and our Prophet has informed us that our Lord says: — “Whoever amongst us is killed (i.e. martyred), shall go to Paradise to lead such a luxurious life as he has never seen, and whoever amongst us remain alive, shall become your master…”

(Sahih Bukhari Book 58 Hadith 3)

Jesus coming back to abolish the Jizyah would mean Christians and Jews would lose this third option so their options would be like those of everybody else, convert to Islam or face death!

The alternative explanation, which is consistent with the above is that there will be no Jews or Christians left to pay Jizyah because they will all have been killed, presumably by Jesus Himself. The difference between both explanations is that there will not be an option to convert to Islam in the latter.

Now note all of this is Jesus being “a just ruler” according to the Hadith.

Summary and analysis

So what have learned from the above?

Abraham becomes a Muslim and hates his family, including his father because they do not believe in Allah. Allah calls him “patient and compassionate” in this context.

Job becomes a Muslim and has to lash his wife somehow because she displeases Allah and he vowed to lash her.

Moses becomes a Muslim and somehow the brutal murder of a child becomes is justified because the child was not going to be a Muslim when he grew up. This according to “the sound judgment of Allah”.

Solomon becomes a Muslim and his desire is to raise children who will kill and be killed in Jihad for Allah’s cause.

Jesus becomes a Muslim and is going to break Christian religious images, slaughter pigs and contribute to the oppression of Jews and Christians. He is called “a just ruler” for doing these things.

Do you see the problem here?

Everybody is a reflection of Muhammad and his ideology. “Justice” is Muhammad’s definition of justice, “Compassionate” is Muhammad’s definition of the word so Muslims use the same terms as non-Muslims but they mean something very very different. This also means Muhammad was not interested in historical facts at all. He was simply stealing religious figures from established religions and making them “sock-puppets” for his own beliefs, attitudes and biases. The Islamic version of these characters bear no resemblance at all to the Jewish sources. The second problem is this…

I could do the exact same thing

To make this simple, say I invent a religion today called “Kebabism”. “Kebabism” is the worship of Kebabs. Then I say, you know what? Jesus worshipped Kebabs! And Abraham worshipped Kebabs! Job worshipped Kebabs! Muhammad worshipped Kebabs! Buddha worshipped Kebabs! Joseph Smith worshipped Kebabs! Everybody worshipped Kebabs back then. Christians, Jews, Mormons and Buddhists perverted the true message of Kebabism that they preached! If you look at the Bible, the Quran, the Mormon scriptures and the REAL history of Buddha properly, you will see they preached true Kebabism!

A conversation between adherents of all those faiths and myself as well as my followers would go like this..

Q: But we find that these religious texts overwhelmingly contradict the Kebabism you preach.

A: Well, they have all been corrupted but there are some truths in these scriptures! From time to time, Mormons, Muslims, Christians, Jews and Buddhists stumble upon the truth of Kebabism.

Q: Oh really? How do you know when they are saying something true?

A: Whenever their scriptures say anything that agrees with the message of Kebabism that I bring!

Now you may say this is ridiculous reasoning and I agree! That is why I am amazed Muhammad continues to get a free pass to do this! There is no difference between what I did with Kebabism and what Muhammad did with Islam. The difference is that people have through a mixture of threats of death/violence and brainwashing been conditioned to accept that line of reasoning as perfectly logical when it comes to Muhammad and Islam.

The more serious problem

If every Bible character who crosses into Islam is instantly “radicalized” is it any surprise why today in the 21st century, we have people who somehow get the idea they should go around slaughtering people in the name of Allah after converting to Islam? If Jesus himself could not survive being a Jihadi, what chance does your average Muslim have?

Conclusion

There is no such thing as radical Islam. There is just “Islam”. Bible characters becoming Muslim automatically become full of hate and violence, that is literally the nature of the beast called Islam. It turns every one who takes it seriously into a beast like Muhammad was.
