It's your story and you are sticking to it...is there any chance the story you are sticking to is not true?

Is there a chance that the scientific advancements and the scientific method are underpinned by the expectation of rationality in nature because of the assumption that a rational mind created the universe?

Is there a chance that the pioneers of the scientific method (Newton, Galileo who I'm sure you have in mind, Kepler to mention a few) were Christians because their faith was linked to their work?

And even if I were to grant that every word of your heartfelt comment against the church and religion were true, is there a chance that Christianity is still true?

And again, there is a lot of indignation and judgment here against religious institutions but I see no basis for you righteous anger if there is no "right" way things ought to be.

If there is no objective standard to measure human conduct by then nothing is actually right or wrong. Outside an objective standard, there is nothing to dictate how the world ought to be.

Have you looked into the scientific track record of Christianity? Have you looked into it's contributions to society (From universities to hospitals) and advancement? Have you looked at Nobel prize winners by religion?

More importantly I ask again, beyond having a lot of bad feelings towards the church and the Christian faith have you looked into the evidence for the Christian faith?

Because, and I say this with all respect and sensitivity to you, if it is true, then how we feel about it is utterly irrelevant in the final analysis.
