No my friend, a Muslim is not entitled to use his brain like you say, the Quran says to be a Muslim you must submit to the judgment of Muhammad in all things without question, Surah 4:65

"But no! By your Lord, they will never be ˹true˺ believers until they accept you ˹O Prophet˺ as the judge in their disputes, and find no resistance within themselves against your decision and submit wholeheartedly."

And Surah 4:80

"Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah. But whoever turns away, then ˹know that˺ We have not sent you ˹O Prophet˺ as a keeper over them."

Your faith as a Muslim commands you to obey and submit to Muhammad (since that is obedience to Allah), not to formulate your own religion and reinterpret his words and deny authentic things he did that you don't like. This makes you an innovator and an apostate in actual fact.

If you want a religiousity that is not locked up in its own tradition, then why be Muslim? Islam is supposedly the final revelation and the last religion for all mankind a religion Allah perfected, why do we need Maarten in 2024 to update interpretations of Allah's religion?

By the way, with your comments on the mercy of God, you are really tempting me to veer into other topics but I want to stick to child marriage.

Regarding child marriage, I have given you hadith literature, you say it is a fabrication, I made a mistake in Ibn Ishaq, he doesn't give any age so apologoes for that. I gave you Surah 65:4, you played an Arabic/English game. On that Surah, I have given you interpretation of Ibn Abbas, you say it is a fabrication, I have given you interpretations of Ibn Kathir and Al-Jalalayn on that verse who speak perfect Arabic, you say we cannot trust them.

Okay, another one for you, Asbab Al nuzul (the reason for the verses to come down) on Surah 65:4, this is the explanation,

"When the waiting period for divorced and widowed women was mentioned in Surah al-Baqarah, Ubayy ibn Ka‘b said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, some women of Medina are saying: there are other women who have not been mentioned!’ He asked him: ‘And who are they?’ He said: ‘Those who are too young [such that they have not started menstruating yet], those who are too old [whose menstruation has stopped] and those who are pregnant’. And so this verse (And for such of your women as despair of menstruation…) was revealed”.

To paraphrase, this was revealed in respect of "THOSE WHO ARE TOO YOUNG TO HAVE STARTED MENSTRUATING"

How do you respond to this islamic book?

And I noticed you have not responded to 20th century Imam Maududi rather you are running to old references to Ali Dawah and commenting on rhetoric. Focus on the topic and your books I am putting before your eyes my friend.

We will debate Numbers 31 till we are blue in the face don't worry my friend. Let us settle this child marriage topic first.
