So progress is now being defined by the colour of the president of a country's skin? Yet racism bad? Interesting
The Roman empire had a host of gods and goddesses yet I am not sure you would have survived there one day. It was still a very patriarchal society where the father could kill his son if he wanted or sell him to slavery and have all manners of relations with his slaves male or female.
You know what else happened in the Roman empire? Baby girls were thrown out to the trash heaps so you might not even have lived long enough to have the strong opinions you do now. Ironically it was the "monotheist" Christians you so despise that made a habit of saving them and raising them up.
The Greeks had gods and goddesses yet the society was still misogynistic. Aristotle always thanked the gods that he was a man, not a woman. So your link between monotheism and sexism/racism is fallacious. No Christian believes God has a race, that's just something your imagination has conjured.
You accuse Monotheists of claiming superiority yet your article smacks of superiority top to bottom as you pontificate what should and shouldn't be and talk down to the more populous monotheists.
And finally, your article has a lot of moral outrage. "Racism bad", "sexism bad", "close mindedness bad", "equality good!", "disabled rights good !" as an atheist can you articulate the basis of these moral judgments? Why exactly are these things bad and good? Are there things that are objectively bad or are these just your personal preferences in which case, why should we be taking what you are saying seriously?
In conclusion, polytheism does not solve the problems you point out and your moral judgments presuppose there is objective good and objective evil which in turn presupposes an objective standard for gauging good and evil, which would be what exactly on an atheistic worldview? Lilith Helstrom's feelings and preferences?
