So what is your most likely explanation of the historical facts that.

- The disciples (500+) were convinced they saw and interacted with a Jesus they had earlier seen put to death

- Many of these disciples went to their bloody deaths not changing their story. This would not mean it is true but it would mean they were not making things up.

- This "rumour" of the resurrection started in Judea, they very city Jesus was put to death and within the lifetime of people who could have killed the story by conclusively rebutting it (e.g. by providing a body).

- People who did not believe in Jesus (like James his own brother) and Paul who was actively killing those who believed in Jesus later believed in Him because they claim to have encountered the resurrected Christ.

- His tomb was found empty

What is the most likely explanation that accounts for all these facts together at once?

And what is the most likely explanation of the origin of Christianity? There were so many crucifixion victims, why all the fuss about this one guy Jesus and the allegations he rose from the dead?
