THE BOOK OF REVELATION EXPLAINS WHY THE JEWS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HATED: AN OPINION PIECE ON THE UNDERGROUND SPIRITUAL GAME
“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days…
Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus”
(Revelation 12:1–6,13–17)
From the plot of Haman during the time of King Artaxerxes to Adolf Hitler during the second world war and now HAMAS (which made its intentions very clear), there have always been machinations to obliterate the Jews. Although there have been various rationales, the end goal has been clear.
Haman wanted to obliterate them because they were “a people whose laws are different from the laws of the king” (Esther 3:8–9). Hitler wanted to annihilate them “for being an inferior race to the German people” and Hamas makes its reasons for wanting them extinguished clear in the preamble to its 1988 charter,
“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”
So Hamas’ motivation is Islam, pure and simple.
The running thread appears to be the fact the Jews are “different”. What makes them different? God’s laws, the very point of these laws was that they should not be like the nations around them. This was what got them into trouble with Haman when he concocted the first genocide attempt.
It would appear that, to borrow a phrase from the Afro-beats legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the “underground spiritual game” here was a Satanic attempt to thwart the promise of the Messiah made to the Jewish race first to Abraham and them to David.
The woman in the above passage of Revelation represents Israel who is glorified among the nations, a royal priesthood and God’s own people hence the clothing with the Sun and the Moon being under her feet. The garland of twelve stars represent its twelve tribes.
The woman’s crying out in pain represents the suffering, sorrows and persecution of the Jewish race leading up to the birth of the Messiah, the child who is to rule the nations with a rod of Iron (Something Christ’s statement in Revelation 2: 26–27 confirms is in relation to Him).
Now to be fair a lot of that sorrow and suffering is due to Israel’s breaking of God’s covenant (i.e. the law of Moses) which God Himself punishes them for by sending them into captivity in Babylon and their being attacked by enemy nations in the book of Judges and the Kings.
However, some of those sufferings, e.g. Amalek’s unprovoked attacks as the people left the borders of Egypt (Exodus 17) and Haman’s genocidal plot also form part of this suffering.
So since the devil cannot stop the woman from conceiving, the next best thing is to wait patiently to devour the child, i.e the Messiah.
Then the Messiah comes and is harassed left right and centre by His very own people, as it is written,
“He came unto His own and His own did not receive Him” (John 1:11)
The devil himself tries to tempt Him (Luke 4 and Matthew 4), the devil raised up opposition against Him in the person of the Pharisees, Sadducees and religious people.
Finally, the devil puts it into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray Him, as it is written,
“And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him” (John 13:2)
And again,
“And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him” (Luke 22:3)
The devil is also shown to be the puppet master behind Jesus’ arrest as Jesus stated,
“When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” (Luke 22:53)
Then Jesus is put to death, Satan believes the Child is devoured but He is instead caught up to the throne of God in heaven as He rises from the dead. This culminates in some kind of war in heaven and Satan is now cast out, indicative of Jesus’ victory over Satan on the cross. Hence heaven’s announcement,
“Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down”
In response, the devil persecutes this “woman” who gave birth to the male child. This is where we are at.
The devil’s anger towards this woman is because of the Child she has birth, the Child who has conquered the devil and brought salvation to the earth. This is the real underground spiritual game, the Antisemitism we see in Islam (who denies the authority of the Child that was birth) and the rest of the world is just a reflection of this. It is the portal through which the devil directs its bitter anger at the Jews for the birth of Christ.
The woman however will be saved. This is strong confidence that despite being surrounded by enemies on all sides, despite being outnumbered, the Jewish race will never be extinguished,
“So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.”
Despite this, the anger of the devil towards the Jews will never die hence Antisemitism would never really die,
“ And the dragon was enraged with the woman…”
However, the devil’s annoyance with the Jews, leads Him to also wage war on the woman’s offspring,
“and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring…”
Who are this offspring?
“…who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ”
So just to be clear, forasmuch as Israel is now expanded to include a “spiritual Israel” made up of Gentiles as Paul writes,
“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” (Romans 2:28–29)
The range of people the devil is at war with includes the spiritual Israel as well, those who believe in Jesus Christ, i.e. Christians.
So Jews, first and foremost, and then secondarily Christians are hated because of this ultimate spiritual game, the devil hating the woman (i.e. the Jews), Jesus Christ (the child) who he never got to defeat and the Christians who are seed of the woman (i.e. spiritual Israel).
Now the world is ignorant of this dynamic and it is not surprising because the world is not expected to perceive these things, as Paul (admittedly in another context) writes,
“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
The world is expected to be blind to all of this. The minds of people who do not believe the gospel have been blinded,
“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them)
(2 Corinthians 4:3–4)
Remember,
“…the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19)
This is a deadly combination. Arguably the greatest spiritual conflict ever has been brewing behind the scenes. The world is under the sway of the wicked one and very much blind to that fact, not discerning it. As such it is being “puppeteered” into doing the very bidding of the puppet-master, the Devil himself.
This is the real reason for the hatred against Jews. This is why Christians are persecuted and no one (other than Christians) really cares. This is why Christians remain the only group it is politically correct to mock and castigate.
In conclusion, Antisemitism would never die but as ironic as it sounds, this is good news because it means the Jews themselves would never die. You cannot have Antisemitism without Jews. The real conflict is between the devil and the race that served him his very destruction on a plate!
