What adherents to a religion do is a different matter from what the religious texts teach. Christians have done and continue to do horrible things so you cannot judge the religion by a good Christian or a bad one. You judge it by Jesus Christ and the New Testament. In the same vein, I don't judge Islam by good or bad Muslims, I judge it by Muhammad as described in the Hadith and the Quran.
