Whenever people condemn Hitler, they are not condemning him for losing the war though are they? The undertone to their condemnation is the mass murders he commited and his ideology constitute some sort of wrong doing.

Sounds like you (I know you are just playing devil's advocate and are not seriously backing Hitler by the way) are saying it is his failure to achieve his aims that condemns him and if he succeeded what he did would have been right and morally acceptable, which I don't think most atheists would agree with.

Appreciate your response though because I am genuinely interested in how people answer this.
